IPL doesnt need to pay any taxes

To support this valuation, you need to have a good amount of revenue, but IPL isn’t supposed to pay any

The IT Appellate Tribunal ruled that the BCCI shouldn’t pay any taxes for IPL, even though it’s making money out of it.

Tribunal believes that even though IPL collects money through sponsorships, it promotes Cricket in India

funds that are generated by IPL are redeployed in promoting cricket, and can even see as an innovative way to popularise the game.

IPL fulfils BCCIs core purpose of promoting cricket tribunal ruled in their favour

According to experts, this ruling was done in a good faith to upheld cricket lovers. This also means the money used under name of cricket can happily go tax-free.
